| My dad was born in 1906 and the 1911 Bangor Fire was the talk of the community during the WWI era. This scene looking north from the MEC Swing Bridge up Kenduskeag Stream shows that the fire left some of the west side of the stream untouched. The siding with the NYC&HR box car #53709 was still in place at the end of the passenger era c1960. /DL |
