Album Info:The Boothbay Railway Village was spawned by an early 20th Century railfan’s collection of Maine railroading. It has grown since mid-century and today runs Steam, Diesel, and this remarkable restored Sandy River railbus. The buildings around the origional B&ML Thorndike station are all RR structures moved to the Museum and restored. I found the Thorndike Station venue quite striking. This sequence of photographs were gathered over a dozen or so cycles of the railbuss. I was at the Museum on a Monday so there was no crowd and unobstructed photographs were possible. This summer the Museum was running the railbus on Mondays and Fridays, Diesel on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and Steam on the weekends. /DL
