Album Info:According to Wikipedia today's SLR was built by the Atlantic & St. Lawrence in the 1840s and 1850s. The Grand Trunk Railway leased the line in 1853 and upon GTRs bankruptcy in the 20s was taken over by Canadian National. In 1989 the St. Lawrence & Atlantic was formed and today is part of the Genesee & Wyoming family. /DL

Grand Truck Station
Title:  Grand Truck Station
Description:  No info on the back of this old print so the date is an estimate. But in the WWI era when the photographer caught this winter scene this was part of the Grand Truck system and the MEC crossed this line a mile or so to the west. In this perspective on Elm St. Portland is to the right. As of 2015 the freight house still stood but the station was long gone. /DL

GT Station
Title:  GT Station
Description:  Now a flower shop the GT touch still prevails. This perspective would be timetable west but is actually looking north towards Yarmouth Jct a mile or so away. The switch had recently been oiled but didn't look like it had seen any business in a long time. I belive by this time the only customer on the line was Burnham & Morrel Baked Bean plant some miles behind the camera. As far as I know this is still the case today with just 1 customer left south of Yarmouth Jct. /DL
