Description:  I don't know if this building was built during the Maine Central's operation of the S&RL, but the lines are pure American Railrad. If you own a copy of The Maine Two-Footers by Moody this building will sync, but little else will in the area around it. /DL

S&RL Yard at MP18
Title:  S&RL Yard at MP18
Description:  Well up until 1971, when it burned, there was a 10 stall round house in front of the still standing shop. The building extended off to the left with a turn table at the left edge of this photo. The camera, looking north. The track headed off beyond the station and crossed the railroads namesake river a few hundred feet beyond the tree line. Behind the camera the main line extended 18 miles to Farmington and its Maine Central standard guage connection with the rest of the world. /DL
